American Express currently lists its Centurion Lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) as open daily from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Local evening departures may fall outside lounge hours. The earlier opening announcement listed a 9:30 p.m. closing time; Amex has not specified when the revised hours took effect.
Check current lounge hours at American Express ↗Platinum Card Members can earn 5X points on eligible prepaid Airbnb bookings through Amex Travel. The existing $600 Hotel Credit is now the $600 Lodging Credit and includes qualifying two-night Airbnb Luxe bookings. A confirmed qualifying Luxe reservation can unlock up to $250 in Airbnb Experiences credits for the rest of the calendar year. The $250 is not automatically available to every cardholder.

The change took effect for existing Preferred cardmembers on October 1, 2026; applicants from June 15 were already subject to the revised rate. Sapphire Reserve has separate terms.

Sydney’s October refurbishment period has ended; check the current lounge listing before traveling. Philadelphia’s Centurion Lounge remains temporarily closed for expansion.

The Centurion Lounge at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), Terminal A West near Gate A14, will temporarily close October 16, 2026. American Express expects it to reopen by the end of 2027. Eligible cardmembers can check other participating lounges at PHL, subject to each lounge’s access rules.
American Express Platinum and Centurion. Newark (EWR) Terminal A is now expected in 2027, while a second London Heathrow lounge in Terminal 5 is planned for 2028. Heathrow’s existing Terminal 3 lounge remains separate. American Express also plans a Houston (IAH) lounge expansion through 2028; check its published operating status before visiting during construction. These future projects are not yet available lounges.
Capital One Venture X
Primary-cardholder access continues, but additional-cardholder lounge access costs $125 per year. Complimentary Capital One Lounge/Landing guest privileges require $75,000 in annual account spend; Priority Pass guests are $35 each per visit.

Chase announced anniversary offers for eligible cardmembers, including $100 back after $600 in Chase Travel purchases and $200 back after $500 with SIXT for qualifying members who have held Sapphire Reserve since 2016. Offers require activation and qualifying direct purchases by December 14, 2026. Other anniversary offers have separate eligibility and deadlines; check your account for availability.

American Express says U.S. Platinum Card Members have Lufthansa Lounge access through September 30, 2026. Effective October 1, 2026, Platinum Card Members will no longer have access to Lufthansa Lounges through the Global Lounge Collection. Current published Centurion Lufthansa terms remain separate and still list access.
